Yes, so 'room' is a more accurate description, but this is my new place to live.
I've already done quite a bit of cleaning, but this is the nearest thing I have to a 'before' photo. Apologies for the quality - I took it with my phone.
I made this blind for the window. It's a bit skewiff because a) I rushed it b) I need to get something more sturdy to hang it on. I'm going to do some more work on it soon :)
You can see what kind of space I have to work with now, so if any of you have any ingenious storage ideas, PLEASE (beg) feel free to share them by way of a comment or tweet!
Hopefully, the next time I show you a photo, I will have found my camera :)
It does look tiny. Tall slim bookcase/s might help, store your craft materials in it, and/or small string hammocks suspended from the ceiling! Looks like you'll need one to sleep in! Hope things improve for you soon.
ReplyDeleteI know, it was a bit overwhelming when I first arrived, but I've realised that with some hard work, I can make it look nice. I'm going to put mount some shelves above the head of the bed, and my plan for the end of the bed is to find a shelving unit that fits there. I'm waiting to find one cheaply though, so it may take a while.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the hammocks! I could put my yarn in them! I have some pocket organisers that won't fit in the wardrobe, and was thinking of suspending those sideways on from the ceiling, for the same use. The hammocks would appear less imposing though, so I'm going to keep my eye out for something like that :)
